Privacy Policy

Information you provide. When you use a free tool on the Site (for example, the STAR method builder, the follow-up email generator, or the interview score preview), we receive the text you type into that tool. If you create an account in the App, we collect the information needed to run your account, such as your name, email address, and password, and the practice answers you choose to record.

Payment information. Paid plans are purchased inside the App and processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages visited, and timestamps. To protect our free tools from abuse, we also apply per-session and per-IP rate limits; the IP address is stored only in hashed form and expires automatically after the rate-limit window.

Cookies and similar technologies. The Site uses cookies and browser storage that are necessary to operate it (for example, remembering a temporary tool session), and the App uses cookies to keep you signed in. We also use third-party advertising and analytics technologies — currently Google (Google Ads and Google Analytics) and Meta (the Meta Pixel) — to measure how visitors arrive at the Site, which pages they visit, and whether they complete actions such as starting the quiz or signing up. These providers set cookies or similar identifiers and may receive information such as your IP address, browser and device details, the pages you view, referring URLs, and (where you have provided it) a hashed version of your email address, which they may combine with other data they hold about you to measure and improve the relevance of advertising shown to you on their platforms. See “Your choices and rights” for how to opt out.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Site, the App, and the free tools;
• Generate the AI-assisted output you request (see “AI processing” below);
• Create and manage your account and process your subscription;
• Respond to your questions and support requests;
• Monitor usage, detect abuse, and enforce rate limits and our terms;
• Measure the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising, including conversion tracking through Google and Meta, and reach people who may be interested in the Service;
• Analyze aggregated, de-identified usage patterns to improve our guides and scoring; and
• Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the rights of others.

Our free tools and the App’s scoring features are powered by large language models provided by third-party AI providers. When you submit text to one of these features, that text is sent to the provider to generate a response. We do not send your name or account details with the request. Do not enter passwords, financial details, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal information into these tools.

We may review aggregated, de-identified patterns across drill attempts to improve our guides. We do not sell your inputs or use them to build advertising profiles.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as web hosting and content delivery, database and caching infrastructure, AI model providers, email delivery, and payment processing. These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us.
• With advertising and analytics partners, specifically Google and Meta, which collect information through cookies and similar technologies as described above in order to measure conversions and deliver and measure advertising. These partners act as independent controllers of the data they collect and use it in accordance with their own privacy policies: Google Privacy Policy and Meta Privacy Policy. Under certain U.S. state privacy laws, this sharing may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising or “targeted advertising.” You can opt out as described in “Your choices and rights.”
• For legal reasons, when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request, or is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of Interview Drills, our users, or the public.
• In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
• With your consent or at your direction.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Free-tool inputs are processed to generate your result and are not tied to a personal account on the Site. Rate-limit records expire automatically after their window. Account data in the App is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion at any time (see “Your choices and rights”).

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and hosting on reputable cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, and other jurisdictions with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights under those laws. We do not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in the “Contact us” section. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If you have an App account, you can also update your details or delete your account from within the App.

Marketing emails. If you receive marketing or product emails from us, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email. We may still send you transactional messages about your account.

Advertising and analytics opt-outs. You can opt out of Google’s use of cookies for personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com and of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can control how Meta uses data from sites like ours in your Meta ad settings. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of interest-based advertising generally at optout.aboutads.info. To opt out of the “sharing” of your information for targeted advertising under applicable U.S. state laws, email us at the address below with the subject “Opt out of targeted advertising.”

Do Not Track.The Site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no industry standard for them.

We are based in the United States and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

The Site and App are intended for adults preparing for job interviews. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

The Site contains links to third-party websites, including company career pages and other resources referenced in our guides. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and this policy does not apply to them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide additional notice on the Site or by email. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
