| Feature | Interview Drills | Final Round AI |
|---|---|---|
Pre-interview scored practice Both offer it. We invest more in scoring granularity — six dimensions vs. their overall feedback. | ||
AI assistant during a LIVE interview Final Round's headline feature. Employer-detectable, ethically contested, and some companies explicitly prohibit it. We do not build this. | ||
Structured behavioral coaching Our 14-day tracks target specific psychological blockers (confidence, storytelling, negotiation). Final Round's content is broader but shallower. | ||
Resume optimization | ||
Works without revealing AI to interviewer Their 'stealth mode' is a feature. We believe practicing legitimately beats gaming the interview. | ||
Voice-scored behavioral drills | ||
Transparent pricing at sub-$100/mo Our core plan is $29/mo; their entry tier for live copilot is roughly 3x ours. |
Our take
Final Round AI and Interview Drills solve different problems. Final Round leans into 'win this specific interview' — their AI sits beside you on the call and feeds you suggestions. That can work once, but it's a short-term play: major employers are starting to flag it, and you don't build the skills that land your next role. We're the opposite bet: you practice before the interview, you get scored on how you actually perform, and by interview day you don't need a copilot because you've already internalized the frameworks. If you want a one-time lifeline, pick them. If you want to leave the interview loop feeling like a better candidate than you were a month ago, pick us.
